Father’s Day Review and Giveaway of Balance Bars

The Balance Bar Bare Sweet & Salty Chocolate almond was delicious.   It had just the right amount of almond taste with chocolate to make it sweet.  Each bar has only 200 calories so it is a perfect on the go food! It has 40% carbohydrates, 30% Protein and 30% fat which is the perfect blend to help keep you moving.  It was a great snack to have while on vacation because it tasted great is a lot cheaper and better for you than stopping at a fast food chain.  You are full for a few hours and feel like you have eaten a big meal.

Sweet and Salty Peanut Butter was a great tasting bar filled with the same goodness as the other bar but with the peanut butter taste.  It has the nuts on top of the peanut butter layer which made me think of eating a candy bar.  Only with a lot less calories than you would normally eat when you ate a candy bar.  This bar also had 200 calories and is a perfect on the go food.  I thought this bar was  to “dry” for me, but the taste was great and you knew you were eating something that was better for you than candy.

My absolute favorite bar was the Blueberry Acai Balance Bar. It was delicious, moist and almost melted in your mouth as you ate it.  It was sweetened with Organic Agave and Brown Ricey Syrup to give it that sweet taste that was delicious.  However, it didn’t taste “fake” like lots of artificial sugars do. My daughter, who is 14, enjoyed this bar as well and quickly ate the second bar. She even asked me to order some more of them, so of course I placed my order!! If I can get her to eat stuff that is healthier for her then I will if at all possible.
