Chicken Soup for the Soul The Magic of Mothers & Daughters Review and Giveaway

I was once again given the opportunity to read and review a Chicken Soup for the Soul Book.  This time it was The Magic of Mothers & Daughters edition.  I was so excited when I opened the package and saw this.  With being a mother and a daughter myself I was sure this book would have a lot of stories that I could relate to.  I was indeed correct.

I loved that I could share some of these stories with my 7 year old daughter and she too could gain some new knowledge from them.  It not only provided something for just “us” to do together but she also could share it with her grandmother- my mother.   As stated on the back cover this book is great to share with mothers and daughters of all ages.

I would have to say the story that sticks out the most to me is titled Love, Mom by Amber Chandler.  This one really sticks out for me because I too did something similar just last year when my daughter went to kindergarten.  Even as I was reading this story to my daughter she said she remembered when I too did that.

This book brings to mind great Mother’s Day gifts for those hard to buy for moms, or even a birthdya present for fellow mom friends.  I plan to buy a copy of it for a good friend of mine whose birthday is next month.  I say a must read for all mothers and daughters.  If nothing else it will just confirm we are not alone in any of our worries or feeling whether about motherhood or daughter-hood.
