Dawn’s son–update

Update 7/28/12

Ben got to come home today from the hospital!! He’s doing great and of course is sore but that is to be expected.  I’m sure Dawn will give us a more up to date version later today.  Heidi

An update on my son, Ben- He was up walking with a walker today, he feels more steady with that than with crutches. He is in some pain, but better than yesterday, but I have a feeling tomorrow may be different since he was up so much. His father had surgery on his leg again, because he was in so much pain. It was a long surgery, but his is fine and recovering. He is in LOT of pain but is doing better than he was. The other 2 kiddos are great! ~Dawn~

Update
Dawn’s son Ben had surgery yesterday on his let they inserted a permanent titanium rod into the big bone in his leg. Last night he was on pain medicine and oxygen overnight because he oxygen levels were dropping. He’s awake and talking this morning so there is improvement.

Page administrator and friend of mine Dawn B. and her family are in need of prayers.  Her son, ex-husband and 2 other little kids were hit by a drunk driver from behind yesterday while walking on the sidewalk.  The woman that hit them is a known addict and drunk, and is being charged with 4 counts of vehicular assault.

Dawn is in route to Washington (from Missouri) to see them now.  Her son Ben has a broken leg –both bones were broken and they are doing surgery this morning.

The 2 little ones are ok, some stitches, and one may have a broken ankle.  The dad  has 1 broken leg but something is wrong with the other one.

Thoughts and prayers for Dawn, her family, the lady that hit them and everyone involved would be appreciated.  I will update when I hear more.
