The older I get the more green I try to live. When I had the chance to review Glass Dharma’s original glass straws I jumped at the chance. the day they arrived I was leaving the house when they arrived but went ahead and opened the box. I was impressed with the packaging to ensure that the straws weren’t broken during shipping through the United States Postal Service.
Underneath the paper the 4 straws were individually wrapped into their own boxes with labels on them. The 4 straws I received included:
- Simple Elegance–The Sipper Amber in Color–7 mm X 6.25-2.5 mm inside Diameter Amber brown
- Beautiful Bends–Ice Tea Straw Clear 9.5 mm x 9 inches (5.5 mm inside diameter)
- Decorative Dots–Blue Ice Tea Straw 9.5mm x 9 inches (5.5 mm inside diameter)
- Simple Elegance–Ice Tea 9.5 mm X 9 inches (5.5 inside diameter)
The company included cleaning brushes for the straws with mine, however when purchasing the straws you have to purchase the cleaning brushes separately. The straws have been great to use in pop, sweet tea, water, Tervis Glasses, kids cups and more. My favorite is the Decorative Dots Blue dotted one while my husbands is the Beautiful Bends straw. Our daughter did not like drinking from a glass straw but she doesn’t like drinking from an ordinary straw either.
We have yet to break a glass straw which was one of my worst fears. They have a lifetime guarantee so in case they break under normal use you could get a replacement for free. Since getting these straws we use them daily in our cups and take them (glasses and straws) with us everywhere. If we happen to pull in somewhere for a drink we tell them to keep the straw so we are cutting down use of plastic straws drastically.
