Turkey Pot Pie Recipe—Healthy Living

Today’s recipe is a hodge podge list of ingredients we had in the freezer, refrigerator leftovers, and a canned good or two. I figured the calories at the bottom based on making this 6 good sized portions. Of course yours will probably be a little different from mine, but you can pretty much get it the same way.

Here’s what we did.

Turkey Mixture:

Chopped up an onion and put into pan on stove with a teaspoon or so of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. 92 calories+34 calories

Chopped up 2 cups of leftover turkey and put it into the pan to cook with the onions. 392 calories

One can of Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic put into the pan with a half of can of water.  1 can of sliced mushrooms. Let simmer till onions are soft , as well as mushrooms and turkey are heated through.  175 calories+60 calories

In a saucepan I heated up a bag of mixed vegetables and put in some leftover corn and mix together.  Added salt and pepper and cooked until hot.  200 calories for our bag it had celery, carrots, potatoes, peas.  +140 calories for corn

Then I put the veggies in the baking dish and 3 ounces of cheddar cheese. 343 calories

Followed by turkey mixture, then Bisquick made with water instead of milk. 280 calories which was a guess on our part, but we figured high just in case.

1,716 calories/6 servings= 286 calories per serving!! Not to bad I don’t think and it was delicious!! It fixed my craving for carbs and filled me right up.
