As part of my Cinchspiration Diet Plan I have been implementing more fresh produce into our diets. If it is one thing I have learned it is that it costs more to eat healthier, but it is worth it. But before heading the store today I did my homework so I could price match at Wal-Mart to save some money on fresh fruits and vegetables. Here’s the breakdown.
Everything in this picture I price matched so get ready.
Angel Soft $4.99 price matched to Kovac’s Green Hills in St. Joseph *Thanks Tina!! $11.97 regular price!! $6.98 Savings
Price matched these to Aldi
Peaches and Nectarines were $1 total 4 of each. Regular Price: $1.28/$1.48 respectively $0.76 savings
Honeydew Melon $1.29 Regular price $2.25 $0.96 savings
Pineapple $1.29 Regular price $2.48 Savings of $1.19
2-Blueberries-$1.25 Regular price $2.48 Savings of $1.23
Strawberries-99 cents Regular price-$1.48 Savings of $0.49
Total Savings: $12.11
The only bargain in this picture was the vinegar for $1.12 used the coupon from a few week’s ago Sunday paper to make them 12 cents each!!
Hubby’s needs for vehicles, I needed the air spray for the computers and pool chemicals. Nothing fancy but hey we are saving money by doing things ourselves.
OOP: $91.49
Total Savings: $20.11
Considering the amount of items I bought without coupons attached to them I was ok with my savings. I saved where I could and I’m eating healthier so its a win, win in my book.
