Progressive Snapshot Day 1

Progressive sent me a snapshot to plug into my car.  The day I got it I plugged the snapshot device in and was ready to go (or so I thought.)  However, I didn’t realize it wasn’t working until I got an email from Progressive.  So I re-installed the device and watched the device for the amber light and the green light.  That was 2 days ago, and today it started tracking.

Today we had to travel 45 miles to my grandparents for their estate auction. We parked the car and spent our day at the auction working, bidding, and loading vehicles.  After about 9 hours of working at the auction, we got to leave and head home.  Because we live in a rural community, you never know what you are going to come across while traveling.  We had just passed the church, and popped over a hill and there was a cow on the side of the road.

We of course slammed on the breaks to avoid hitting the cow!! We went down to Oliver’s to check and see if they were home, but it was Sunday so they were at church. Back to the church we went to tell Oliver that there was a cow out and offered to help.  Church had just been let out so he of course assured us that he could get it.

We are safe, the car wasn’t hurt and my heart is finally out of my chest.  As for the Snapshot device, I’m sure that wasn’t a “good driving” record, but for my family and I it is a fact of life.  Hopefully Progressive’s Snapshot team will get a more accurate reading on day number 2.
