Being green is something that I am really working on this year and the ways you can become more “green” are endless. I was given the opportunity to review Roaring Springs Paper Products and jumped at the chance to do so. The box they sent arrived in less than a week which I thought was an amazing shipping time. When I got the box, I eagerly opened it and examined the contents.
Here is what my box included:

The first thing I noticed about the notebooks is that the sheets of paper seemed “thicker” than average paper. Which in my opinion is definitely a plus!! Each notebook had a “General Information” page in it to help keep you or students organized with their class schedules. On the back side it had a spot for projects/assignments that I love because it helps me plan ahead on things I want to do. As well as the three subject and 5 subject notebooks had folders with pockets in them. This will help students stay organized and have one less thing to carry around with them to get lost.
Since my daughter is now a freshmen these notebooks were perfect for her to take to school. She now has organization, folders, and paper to write on all in one spot. Even her friends love the harder plastic covers of the notebooks and parents are asking me where we got them!! So I would say they are freshmen approved!!
My personal favorite is the wide Landscape pads. I use the bigger ones for my to do list and the smaller ones I use for my grocery list. Since I do a lot of price matching at Walmart this is how I use the 8″x6″ pads. This paper is composed of 30% post-consumer waste so it is better for the environment and then can be recycled once you are done with it.
I divide my list up into sections, much like they will be in the store with the price I want to price match to. I of course check the prices while I’m there because sometimes Walmart’s prices are lower. If I have a Coupon I put the letter Q by this list so I know to pull it out and have it ready at check out. This little pad is also perfect to use in the store as well because it can easily be transported and held to write on. I keep track of how much the actual price was so I know how much I am saving by price matching. Roaring Springs Paper is a must have in this house for years to come. If you can find ways to become more green I strongly urge you to do so.
