Walmart Price Matching Shopping Trip

The other day I worked on my list for things I was going to price match at Wal-Mart.    When I price match I always keep track of how much the regular price is versus the sale price because it is a savings.  I also check Wal-Mart’s prices because sometimes they are cheaper than the other advertised price.  Today I went shopping at Wal-Mart and these are the results.

Walgreens 

2 pack of Sharpies Price Match to 79 cents—-Didn’t get because they had 3 packs.

4-Expo Markers 2 pack 99 cents or 8 count package for $4.99—-4 packages of 2 packs Saved 98 cents per package

Sweet N Low $2.99 Buy One Get One Free–Didn’t buy I found it cheaper at a discount store.

CVS 

8-Herbal Essence or Aussie 2/$5.97 Use $3.00/2 coupon from last Sunday’s paper—$2.97 was their price I bought 8

2-Folgers $6.99 (no coupon) but its a great price—I bought 2, hubby loves Folgers!! Regular Price was $8.98

2-Flippo Berro Extra Virgin Olive Oil $3.99 for the 16.9 oz.  I had peelies for $1.00 off–I picked up 2 I had coupons for. Regular Price $5.14

1-Cortaid$1.99 (printable no longer available for $1 off) Regular price $4.47

K-Mart

3-Chex Mix 3/$4 Use 50 cents off 1 coupon $1.33 each before coupons, normally $1.88 each

1-Bic Mark-It 8 pack of markers for $3–Use $2 off coupon from an online promotion if you got one. Savings of 36 cents (but it adds up

4-Extra gum 79 cents each using a Kmart coupon Regular 96 cents

Family Dollar

2-Kleenex 3 pack for $2.50—-This one was a great one!! Normal price was $4.47!!

Country Mart (Local to me out of Cameron, MO)

Banana’s–39 cents a pound–normally 59 cents a pound

Grapes 98 cents a pound–$1.98 a pound

Cottage Cheese $1.99—I didn’t pick up I found a carton in the fridge!

Walmart items

Glidden Paint Sample $2.94 Use $2.00 off coupon here–I forgot this one completely!

Lock for locker (no coupon)—Yikes!! I had to buy a package of 3 No savings here.

Suave Deodorant–Redplum insert makes it less than $1—47 cents at my store

6-Vinegar–Use $1 off coupon from 6/24/12 to make it $0.12

1-Accu-Check Nano–$9.72 Use coupon from 7/29/12–1 per customer–no overages

Jif Hazelnut Spread–Is supposed to be on clearance for $1 Use this coupon to make it FREE—–Not at my store

Wet Ones-$1.98 Use coupon 75 cents off! ( I didn’t get that good of a deal)

$58.36 Total Savings!!

Great savings today, but there was also a lot that I didn’t have coupons for, so it was kind of an expensive trip. But the money I did save allowed us to buy those things so its all good!! Happy Shopping! Heidi
