Gutzy Gear Party, Review, and Giveaway

We had a Gutzy Gear Party and let me tell you it was a ball!! We had to improvise and do it after school already had started because we took a vacation the week before school started. Then when we got back we had my grandparents estate sale to get ready for but we squeezed in one night of fun for part of the kids.  The other half of my nieces and nephews get to do their party soon, we are still working out the details for that one.

Gutzy Gear sent patches, games, back pack straps and everything we needed for a great party. We started with a matching game so that kids ages 2-7 could all play along.  We posted them on the walls, doors, door jams, mirrors.  Then passed out the pictures one at a time for them to go find the mate.  When they found the mate they brought the mate back to us, and got their next picture and did it all over again.  Because we had such a diverse grade group we adapted a lot of the party items to make it work for us.

The next activity we did was Gutzy/Bingo. We gathered on the floor with our Gutzy cards and got right to work. We gave each kid a Gutzy card and a crayon because of some of their ages we decided that would be best.  I called out patches by name and showed them the picture, they marked them off. We let the 2 year olds just color but the rest had to play (they wanted to after the first game).  We played until they all won just to make it more fun. We didn’t use the caller pieces that came with it to simply things but we let the kids see which piece I wanted them to color.  They colored instead of using them as buttons or number covers.  This Gutzy game was very fun and all of the kids enjoyed it as well as the adults!!

After playing games we got right to work on our Gutzy Backpack straps!! We all set at the table for this one and the kids were much more excited than their faces portray!! We heard squeals, giggles, laughs and trading while working on their Strap covers.  The best part was that the patches all had velcro on them so we didn’t have to use glue, scissors, sewing or anything to get the patches to stay on.  I even could do all 6 kids by myself without any help from the other adults in the room.

The best part of the pictures came when they could rock their own creations!! Just look at those smiles, you will see that Gutzy was truly a hit!! Gutzy Gear would make a great Back-To-School activity for kids 4 years-old and up!! The 2 year olds we had joined in on the fun because they were there and of course Aunt Heidi wouldn’t dream of telling them no.

The products in this post was given to me in exchange for my review/opinion by Gutzy Gear. Even though this product was provided to me at no cost, I only personally recommend products that I think will be good for myself and readers. Thanks to Gutzy Gear for allowing me to review these great products.
